The Nepal Academy of Music and Drama organised an awareness programme as part of their campaign to help the quake victims overcome trauma through music and drama in Pokhara, on Sunday at the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce’s premises. The academy wrapped up the campaign with the Pokhara episode, which saw performances by local artists and musicians.The programme saw folk singer Haridevi Koirala perform some of her popular numbers. Artists from the local Himali Cultural Family also performed during the day.
Prior to the Pokhara episode, the academy had organised a similar programme at Charikot, Dolakha, on Friday. The Dolakha episode saw performances by acclaimed singers from various genres and noted comedians. Performing during the programme was duo Satya-Swarup (Raj Acharya), who entertained the audience with some patriotic numbers.As per the audience’s demand, the duo also performed some of their hit songs.
The programme also saw stand up acts by comedy duo Deepak Raj Giri and Deepashree Niraula, along with Jitu Nepal and Kedar Ghimire.
